    Speaker Biographies:

    Dr. Rev. Shawn Moore

    Dr. Shawn Moore is the Director of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for Eckberg Lammers, P.C. With over 20 years of professional experience in the field of Leadership, Human behavior, and Cultural Competency. 

    Throughout his work experience Shawn has been tasked with the responsibility to teach and conduct experiential learning that connects to leadership, culture, cross-cultural engagement, and Conflict Resolution/Management. This has Included being the community liaison in the Mounds View School District, a community and cultural coordinator for North St. Paul School District, coordinating the Scholars Program at Century College, and Director of Community Engagement and Service Learning at Bethel University,  He has been a leader in the Church as a Sr. Pastor for 15 years, and taught at Bethel University for the last 13 years and is currently finishing a third masters in family therapy.

    Joe Schmit, CSP 

    Joe Schmit is an ward-winning broadcaster, community leader, author and popular keynote speaker. As a sports broadcaster he has covered every major sporting event in the past 4 decades and has interviewed many of the biggest names in sports. He joined KSTP-TV in 1985 and has won 18 Emmys from the National Television Academy. In 2020, Joe was awarded The Silver Circle designation by the Upper Midwest Chapter of the Emmys for extraordinary contributions to the broadcasting industry. He was also honored with a National Headliner Award in 2001.

    Before joining KSTP-TV in 1985, he was Sports Director for WBAY-TV in Green Bay, Wisconsin. His career also includes positions as weekend sports anchor for KCRG-TV in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and WKBT-TV in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Joe earned his degree in Mass Communications from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

    Joe is also an author of two books: “Silent Impact” and “The Impact Blueprint.” In 2019 Joe was also inducted into the Minnesota Speakers Hall of Fame and earned his CSP designation (Certified Speaking Professional) from the National Speakers Association. Less than 15 percent of NSA members worldwide have achieved the CSP designation.

    Joe is a long time youth mentor committed to advocating for a number of community organizations with Big Brothers and Big Sisters is at the top of his list. He is a past president and board member of the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Greater Twin Cities. He has raised over $3 million for the organization through the Joe Schmit Celebrity Golf Tournament which had a 16-year run. In 2000, he was the winner of the Jim Kelly Distinguished Service Award from Big Brothers and Big Sisters and in 2001, a winner of the Odyssey Award for commitment to youth mentorship. He was also honored as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF) Community Leader of the Year in 2005. In 2018 Joe was honored with the Mike Givens Distinguished Service Award for The Mind over Matter Foundation. Joe and his wife Laura also chaired a $4.5 million dollar capital campaign for VEAP, the largest food shelf in Minnesota. He is past president and board member of the Fairway Foundation and has contributed time to many other charitable organizations. 

    Kristi Cherney, Chief Client Officer, Population Health Strategist
    Kristi serves as Chief Client Officer for the employee benefits practice at JA Counter.   In this role, Kristi focuses on delivering an exceptional experience to JA Counter’s clients by supporting the operational infrastructure that clients rely on for customized and innovative solutions to all their benefits needs. This infrastructure includes account management and sales support, financial analysis, benefit technology, and a full array of client services. With the strength of client relationships as a foundational principle of JA Counter’s business, and an environment that fosters collaboration and teamwork, the benefits team is committed to continuous pursuit of effective and efficient client-focused service.

    As Chief Client Officer and an advanced account and wellness partner, she assists clients with selection, implementation and administration of their employee benefits packages.  Kristi is focused on bringing practical solutions to organizations regarding health management, cost control, recruitment and overall culture that supports the wellbeing of employees; encouraging a win-win approach to reducing healthcare costs. Her direction, passion and focus comes from taking a more than fifteen year journey into the industry which allows her to draw on experiences in manufacturing, health care, wellness and general business operations; deploying solutions with equal focus on operational efficiency and experience.

    Kristi lives in the Osceola area with her family. She enjoys supporting the growth of her children through various sports and activities (Destination Imagination is a favorite), supporting her community, spending time with her extended family, traveling, hiking, biking and camping.

    Kristi is Life & Health Licensed in Wisconsin & Minnesota.

    Jill Ann Anderson

    Jill started her career in forensic psychology as a psychological examiner in the criminal justice field and eventually transferred to full-time psychotherapy.  

    Jill is a certified Motivational Interviewer, Master Coach, Dialectical Behavior Certified Therapist as well as a Master Trauma Therapist. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration and a Master of Science in Forensic Psychology.  Jill is licensed in both Minnesota and Wisconsin.

    Jill is an avid outdoors woman who lives on a lake in Northern Wisconsin and loves golfing, water skiing, boating, snowmobiling - basically anything outdoors! Jill has two grown daughters who are married with children.
