    St. Croix Valley Employers Association is hosting the annual Employment Law Seminar with a series of speakers to address legal updates and common problems. This year we will have a segment of the seminar dedicated to a legislative panel for our audience to listen in on current trends or best practices. 

    Corey Walton, with the U.S. Department of Labor/Wage-Hour Division, will be presenting on the basics of federal wage and hour laws. Corey has spent 15 years as an investigator for hundreds of cases under several laws. Over the past 11 years, Corey has served as the Community Outreach & Resource Planning Specialist in wage and Hour's Minneapolis District Office. Topics will include: paying overtime, travel & training time and compensable hours, meal breaks, exemptions from overtime, and nursing mothers workplace requirements. This session will include common violations as well as best practices to improve your working knowledge on the federal wage and hour requirements!

    Jessica Roe, Roe Law Group, will present on the Top 7 Employment Law Updates and Predictions:
